Chabad Jewish Center to deliver free Thanksgiving dinners to the homebound
The Chabad Jewish Center of SE Morris County will be providing Thanksgiving dinners free of charge to individuals who are alone and homebound during the holiday. The catered dinners will be delivered to the homes of those in need on Thanksgiving morning, thereby ensuring that everyone can participate in the holiday spirit.
“I have received numerous requests to provide these dinners for people from all walks of life who can’t get out of their homes during the holiday, and we hope that that anyone in need will contact us. Should you know of anyone who is alone this Thanksgiving and could use a dinner, we urge you to let us know!” said Rabbi Shalom Lubin, who is coordinating this project.
In the past, Chabad has provided Thanksgiving dinners to residents in several local housing complexes, and this is the first time this offer is being made available to the general public.
